The New Balance 574 “90s” Pack Proves That Everyone Loves The 1990s Right Now

How great were the ’90s? Errrr…If we asked that question just a year or two ago, you probably would have answered with “The ’90s?! What was so great about the ’90s?” But recently, the ’90s have suddenly become hot again. The era finally has a clear-cut identity now that we’ve moved far enough away from it, and people are starting to remember all of the really great things about the ’90s as opposed to those things that they would rather forget. And that has started to impact the kinds of clothes and sneakers that are being released. Because the ’90s are suddenly in again, clothing brands and sneaker companies are scrambling to make stuff that feels like it was inspired by the ’90s.

One of the companies that’s doing that right now is New Balance. They just announced that they are getting ready to release a special New Balance 574 “90s” Pack that is inspired by—you guessed it—the ’90s. It features several different 574 sneakers that include really bright, rich shades of red, green and yellow that are meant to pay homage to the kinds of colors that were regularly incorporated into clothing and sneakers back in the ’90s. And each sneaker is handcrafted using suede and mesh, which results in a really solid sneaker that will last you a long time.

Check out some images of the 574 “90s” sneakers below. What do you think about what New Balance has done here? Are you glad that they dug deep and worked hard to create sneakers inspired by the ’90s? Or do you think that New Balance—and sneaker companies as a whole—should leave the whole ’90s trend alone? If you’re interested in what New Balance is doing here, the NB 574 “90s” Pack will be dropping through select New Balance retailers in the coming weeks. Let us know if you plan on getting into a ’90s state of mind and picking a pair up in the comments section below.
