This Is The adidas Mutombo “Black/White” Sneaker That Is Going To Be Released Next Month

Last week, adidas dropped a teaser image to help promote a new adidas Mutombo sneaker that they are planning on dropping in the middle of next month. But unfortunately, they didn’t really give us any indication of what that sneaker was going to look like. All they provided us with was a date—December 14—and the word “Mutombo” written across a photo in some fancy script. But now, just one week later and right in time for Thanksgiving, they have thankfully provided us with an up close and personal look at the new adidas Mutombo “Black/White” sneaker that they’re going to be releasing.

We have to admit: We did think that adidas was going to deliver something a little more dynamic and exciting than a “Black/White” colorway. They hyped it up like they were going in a different direction. But at the same time, we’re not mad at seeing the Mutombo “Black/White” sneaker make a comeback. It features nubuck, leather, and canvas on the upper part of the sneaker and also has a very colorful tongue on it. Essentially, if you liked the adidas Mutombo sneaker that was released at the end of the summer that featured a white upper, you’re probably going to like this one, too. It’s similar to it but is designed to be a better sneaker for the winter.

Check out some additional images of the adidas Mutombo “Black/White” sneaker below. Are you glad to see adidas giving this sneaker a re-release? Or do you wish that adidas had taken the Mutombo sneaker in a different direction and created something a lot more colorful? Either way, the adidas Mutombo “Black/White” will be available through select adidas retailers on December 14. A price hasn’t been announced yet, but you can probably expect for it to retail for somewhere between $110 and $140. Will you be adding it to your collection when it hits stores?
