Stephen Curry Gave These Under Armour Anatomix Spawn Sneakers To His 1 Millionth Twitter Follower This Week
Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry has more than 1 million Twitter followers right now. That’s a lot of Twitter followers when you consider that, just a few years ago, Curry was a relatively unknown college basketball player. But Curry has been so impressive at the start of his NBA career that there have been tons and tons of basketball fans who have jumped aboard the Steph Curry bandwagon. And many of those fans now follow him on Twitter to stay up to date on all things Steph Curry.
Earlier this week, Curry wanted to send out a special thank you to the person who became his one millionth follower on Twitter. So he decided to team up with his sneaker company Under Armour to do something extra special for the follower. Curry and UA created a silver-on-silver Under Armour Anatomix Spawn sneaker to send to the follower. And it looks like the sneaker is going to be a one-on-one. In fact, Curry didn’t even have an actual image of the Anatomix Spawn when he announced that he would be giving the sneaker away. All he had was the sketch that you see above. And as you can see, the sneaker features a pretty cool “1 MILLIONTH FOLLOWER” custom insole inside of it. It’s a solid gift for the lucky winner.
We expect to see a lot more giveaways and contests through Curry’s Twitter account now that he’s working with Under Armour. We don’t know if any of them are going to be quite as cool as this one. But we’re sure that he’ll be able to come up with something to top it eventually (maybe when he reaches 2 million Twitter followers?). For now, though, what do you think about the special silver-on-silver Anatomix Spawn sneaker? Do you wish that Under Armour would release it to the world? Let us know in the comments section below.
