For the last year or so, Dwyane Wade has worn nothing but Li-Ning basketball sneakers on the court during games. Specifically, he has worn nothing but Li-Ning Way of Wade sneakers, which are the sneakers that Li-Ning created for him last year when he teamed up with the company. Wade even attempted to change his nickname to “WOW” last season in order to promote the Way of Wade lineup of sneakers. But strangely, despite all of that promotion, Li-Ning hasn’t actually released the Way of Wade sneaker in America…until now.

Li-Ning just put the finishing touches on their Li-Ning Way of Wade 2 “Overtown” sneaker, which is named after a neighborhood in Miami. And it will be available on December 4 through Li-Ning’s new Wayofwade.com website. It features a mostly-white leather upper with small hits of red and black and looks like it was designed to resemble the Miami Heat‘s uniform. It also features things like a full-length carbon fiber plate on the inside, which is designed to give you a ton of support, and plenty of cushioning to absorb whatever you throw at it on the basketball court. And as we mentioned, it will mark the first time that Li-Ning is making the Way of Wade available in the U.S. So it’s a pretty big deal for D-Wade and Li-Ning.

Interested? If so, the “Overtown” sneaker will go on sale on Wednesday and will retail for $150. It will only be available in the “Overtown” colorway for now, but we would imagine that Li-Ning will be dropping a multitude of colors in the near future. Are you interested in picking up a pair, or are you a little bit weary about shelling out $150 for a pair of sneakers that you’ve never actually tried on? It will be interesting to see how well the Way of Wade sneaker does or doesn’t sell. Wade has been pushing the sneaker for a long time, and now it’s time to see if all of his hard work will pay off. Let us know what you think about the sneaker in the comments section below.
