Rihanna Talks Bullying & Looking For A “Baby Daddy” In Glamour UK: “One Day I Will Have Kids!”
Rihanna has dealt with her fair share of rude gyals. The 25-year-old Good Girl Gone Bad singer graces Glamour UK‘s January 2014 issue and admits that she was the victim of bullying while growing up in Barbados.
“I got teased my entire school life,” she confesses. “What they were picking on I don’t understand. But I’m not victimised—I’m grateful. I think those experiences were strategically put together by God for the preparation of being in the music industry. It’s so easy for me to deal with the bull—- now.”
Besides the haters, the Bajan bombshell also says her mother Monica Braithwaite helped shape the woman she has now become. “I had to regain my fearlessness because it did go away for a bit,” she explains. “My mother said something to me a few years ago: ‘I’ve seen something in your eyes I’ve never seen before: fear.’ She was like, ‘No, this is not you’. I just got back to being OK with myself. I can’t run from [the haters]. You can’t change who you are. It’s important for me to know who I am and work with that. They’re gonna keep knocking away until all this comes crashing down. But I’m not ever gonna crash. I’m in control.”
Thanks to her strong and powerful mother as a role model, Rihanna has dreams of one day becoming a mother herself….if she can just find a boyfriend first. “One day I will have kids,” says Ri-Ri, who has famously dated Chris Brown on and off for years. “I look forward to the day when I’m gonna be a mum. But I’m nowhere close. I don’t even have a potential baby daddy!”
