Bond Girl Naomie Harris Is Undressed To Kill In Lace Lingerie For Esquire

Like James Bond‘s favorite drink, Naomie Harris‘ latest spread has the fellas shaken (and stirred).

The 37-year-old Skyfall star stripped down to a plethora of pretty lace lingerie for a steamy pictorial shot by photographer Andrew Woffinden featured inside the pages of the January 2014 issue of Esquire. When she wasn’t killing the lens, the London born actress, who stars opposite Idris Elba in the forthcoming biopic Mandela: Long Walk To Freedomtalked about her experience playing a Bond girl and becoming Winnie Mandela.

“I thought it was going to be this intimidating, massive machine,” she said about her role as Eve Moneypenny in the latest James Bond film.

That “machine” did go into overdrive when Harris gave her thoughts on which actor should play Bond next.  “A journalist once asked me, ‘Who do you think is going to be the next Bond?’” she explained. “I said, ‘I’ve just finished working with Idris so, if I had the chance, I would vote for him. The next thing there were headlines going: ‘Naomie Harris says Idris Elba to be the next Bond.’ And Idris has had to live with that ever since. Now, nearly every time he does an interview, he gets asked about it.”

Harris may have fearlessly kicked butt in Skyfall but taking on the role as Nelson Mandela’s wife in Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom was one that frightened the brazen beauty. But thankfully, Winnie approved of the actress’ portrayal of her in the film.

“She loved it,” Harris gushed. “I was over the moon—she was the one critic I was really scared of. But she’s seen it, she likes it, my job is done. You really feel the weight of responsibility. I think it’s almost easier to understand Winnie than Nelson because he does something that is so against human instinct.”
