Apparently, Reebok isn’t the only sneaker company that’s getting into the holiday spirit right now. Later this month, Reebok will release their “Ghosts of Christmas” Pack to the world. And they recently released a video starring Cam’ron, Juelz Santana, and—of course!—good old St. Nick to help promote the pack. But adidas is also getting in on the holiday action by preparing to release a special Christmas-themed sneaker inspired by the movie The Nightmare Before Christmas. It’s set to hit stores this month, and it definitely will make you think about the holiday season.

The sneaker is called the adidas Crazy 8 “Nightmare Before Christmas.” But as you see here, it’s not decked out in the traditional Christmas colors and it doesn’t really look like any of the sneakers Reebok is getting to release. Instead, it features a shiny purple upper with a pretty cool, yet subtle graphic print on it. It also has a speckled midsole that is designed to match the pattern used on the tongue and heel of the sneaker. And even the laces are done up in a pattern that is inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas. The sneaker as a whole definitely calls this image to mind:

If you’re interested in picking up a pair of the Crazy 8 “Nightmare Before Christmas” sneakers, they will arrive just in time for the holidays. There’s not an official release date for them. But they will start to arrive at different adidas retailers over the course of the next couple of weeks or so. Do you like what adidas did with the Crazy 8 sneakers here—or do you think that they should have gone with more traditional Christmas colors on their Christmas sneakers? Check out some additional images of the “Nightmare Before Christmas” sneakers below, and then let us know what you think of adidas’ creation in the comments section below.
