Miranda Kerr knows that after a breakup the best revenge is looking absolutely fabulous. And the Victoria’s Secret Angel does just that on the cover of the Harper’s Bazaar January/February 2014 issue shot by famed photographer Terry Richardson.

Newly split from Orlando Bloom, her husband of three years, the 30-year-old model opened up about the break-up.  “It’s difficult for anyone to go through a separation, whether it’s on a public scale or not. It was important for us long-term to preserve our friendship and the dynamic of being loving parents to [2-year-old son] Flynn, so we dealt with everything openly and honestly,” Kerr tells Bazaar’s deputy editor and beauty director Eugenie Kelly. “We respect each other and with respect comes understanding. When there’s understanding, I guess everything is a little more harmonious.”

The world’s second highest-earning supermodel has been split from the 36-year-old actor since this past October, but the Australian beauty says her relationship with Bloom is very much the same. “We’re still very big parts of each other’s lives,” she explains. “There’s no reason for us to be anything but a united front. We still love and care for each other deeply. Flynn is the most important thing in both our lives. And because we share that bond, we both feel it’s important to be united.
