Here Are The adidas D Rose 4.5 Sneakers That Derrick Rose Will Wear If He Comes Back This Season
Is Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose coming back to the Bulls this season? Eh, probably not. Even though he hasn’t ruled it out completely—Rose actually went on the record earlier this month and said that he’ll be back if the meniscus in his injured knee heals quickly enough—there’s a really good chance that Rose is going to be sidelined for the remainder of the 2013-14 NBA season. Because of his history with injuries, the Bulls aren’t going to want to risk further injury by rushing him back.
However, if Rose does decide that he’s healthy enough to make a return for the NBA Playoffs at the end of the season, he’s likely going to do so in a pair of the adidas D Rose 4.5 sneakers that you see here. The sneakers, which have not been officially announced by adidas just yet, look similar to the adidas D Rose 4 sneakers. But there are several noticeable differences on the 4.5s. For instance, the 4.5s feature reflective lines across the entire upper, which add an interesting design element to the sneaker. And overall, they seem to have a little bit more flair than the D Rose 4 sneakers. As we said, they’re not dramatically different. But adidas did make some minor improvements to these to give Rose another sneaker option later this season.
Whether Rose returns to the court for the Bulls this season or not, adidas is going to release these sometime early next year. We also expect them to release some additional details about the sneakers and official images of the D Rose 4.5s sometime very soon as well. For now, take a better look at the D Rose 4.5 below. Do you like what adidas did with them, and do you think that Rose should rush himself back into the Bulls’ lineup in order to get a pair of these onto his feet?
