Just call her Dorothy, because not since The Wizard of Oz has a pair or sparkly shoes inspired so much admiration. Dakota Fanning, the 19-year-old actress who became a household name with notable roles in films like I Am Sam, War of the Worlds and Charlotte’s Web, has been tapped as the new face of Attilio Giusti Leombruni.

“The three Giusti sisters have a new muse: Dakota Fanning will lend her looks to their spring/summer 2014 advertising, in an exclusive shoot with photographer David Slijper,” the shoe brand announced in an official press statement. “The talented girl actress has grown into a young woman of mature mind and determined spirit. Her expressive look betrays hidden depths and an attitude which towers over other celebrities of equal age. Dakota has talent. She has guts and the will to succeed, all of which make her attractive and special. Her gestures—elegant and refined—complement her modern, youthful appearance to mirror a femininity of rare grace.”

Not only did Dakota expertly model a pair of sequin oxfords for the campaign, but she also influenced much of the new collection. Dakota is a source of creative inspiration to Sara, Vera and Marianna, who explain, “She takes us back to basics, where we naturally belong. Dakota encapsulates the contemporary spirit of the AGL brand and its features: minimalist aesthetics, compatibility with urban life and a sense of couture.’’

Take a closer look at the 2014 AGL sequin oxfords below. Will you add them to your Christmas wish list?
