About a week ago, we told you all about the adidas D Rose 4.5 sneakers that adidas reportedly created for Derrick Rose. However, at the time, we didn’t have any information from adidas about the sneakers. So it was a little bit unclear whether or not adidas was going to move forward with them after seeing the season-ending injury that Rose suffered earlier this year. We imagined that adidas was going to release the D Rose 4.5 sneaker, simply because they have invested lots of times, money, and energy into developing the sneaker. But we weren’t sure about that since they hadn’t made any official announcement about the sneaker. Until now.

Earlier today, adidas announced that they will go forward with the D Rose 4.5 sneakers, despite Rose’s injury. The D Rose 4.5 sneaker will serve as the second version of Rose’s fourth signature sneaker and will be an upgrade over the original D Rose 4 sneakers that were just released. The D Rose 4.5 sneakers were developed for point guards and players who value using their speed on the court. They have adidas’ Sprintweb technology as well as the Crazyquick outsole on them, which will both help players to utilize their quickness on the court. And adidas is going to unveil the D Rose 4.5 sneakers in a variety of different colors. From the black and red colorway that you see above to black/orange, black/white, and even white/blue/red colorways, adidas appears to be going all out with the D Rose 4.5. It’s a solid sneaker that should get a lot of love from basketball players this winter.

Check out some additional images of the D Rose 4.5 sneakers below. Do you like what adidas has done here? Do you agree with their approach of releasing these sneakers despite Derrick Rose’s injury? And do you see yourself picking up a pair of these? They will be released on January 30 and are set to cost $140 at retail. Let us know if you’ll be rocking these D Rose 4.5 sneakers when they are released at the top of next year.
