It’s officially 2014! And you know what that means, right? It’s time for a fresh start—and plenty of new stuff. New cars, new smartphones, new clothes. New, new, new, new, new! And when we say “new,” we mean new. Because there are some companies out there that are working to literally change the way that you live on a day-to-day basis.

Don’t just take our word for it, though. Instead, check out the concept video that Samsung put together recently. At the moment, Samsung is doing their best to make everything innovative and—you guessed it—new. From their cell phones to their smartwatches to their coffee mugs (yes, Samsung wants to make coffee mugs technological wonders!), Samsung is doing to do their best to inject new life into everything that they sell. And one of the ways that they’re going to do it is by adding touchscreens to everything. Just watch this video to see all of the ways that Samsung wants to change the world:

After watching that video, we can’t help but look around and wonder what kinds of things Samsung is going to end up doing over the next year. It’s pretty clear that they’re intent on changing as many things as possible and finding new ways to help people live their lives. At the same time, this video does worry us a little bit. Because while we love technology and technological advances, we don’t know if we need technology added to things like our coffee mugs. Do we? We’re not robots, guys! So while we appreciate all that you’re doing right now, we think that you may be taking some things a little bit too far.

What are your thoughts after seeing Samsung’s concept video? Do you want any of the products that you see in it? Or do you think Samsung is going to ruin certain things by adding technology to them? Also, what kinds of new technologies are you looking forward to seeing in the new year? Let us know in the comments section below.
