Miley Cyrus Poses With A “Dead Girl” As The New Face Of Marc Jacobs’ Spring 2014 Campaign
Miley Cyrus’ newest single “Adore You” may subliminally be in regards to her relationship with designer Marc Jacobs. The 21-year-old “Wrecking Ball” singer is making a smash entrance in her first major campaign as the new face of Marc Jacobs.
“Secret’s out, @MileyCyrus stars in the MJ SS14 Campaign shot by David Sims!” Jacobs tweeted along with the full ad.
Cyrus also tweeted her excitement about the moody ad styled by Katie Grand that finds her fiercely pouting in the desert in a navy embroidered jacket, shiny burgundy Bermuda shorts and black sneakers next to a seemingly dead girl and another blonde “zombie” in the background.
Cyrus has been flaunting her love of all things Jacobs for months. She wore a fishnet dress by the designer to the 2013 Met Gala, presented Jacobs with the “Superstar Award” at the 30th annual Night of Stars at Cipriani Wall Street in NYC on October 22 in a sparkly green number crafted by the designer, and gushed about their friendship in Hunger TV.
“I work a lot with Marc Jacobs,” she said. “He kind of brought me into fashion like when I was 16, that was when I started being around him and just learning from him. He kind of let me inspire some of his pieces and now I feel like it’s just having the right people around you. There’s definitely something amazing about being so ladylike, yet being so punk, and that’s kind of more of what I am even if I’m wearing things that aren’t. I like having this punk feel about it even if it’s, like, Louboutin.”
