Rick Ross Is Still Riding For Reebok In A Pair Of Kamikaze I OG Sneakers

Remember all of the controversy that surrounded Rick Ross and Reebok last year? Of course you do! Ross dropped some lyrics that sounded awfully pro-rape on Rocko‘s hit song, “U.O.E.N.O,” and everyone went wild and called for his head. The backlash against him forced Ross to issue an apology and, eventually, forced Reebok to drop him from the sneaker deal that they had given to him. Within a few days, Ross was back to rocking Air Jordan sneakers, and he hasn’t looked back ever at his past employer since.

Er, wait, or has he? Ross might not be riding with Reebok in an official capacity anymore. But Reebok is still friendly with Ross. And apparently, they still hook him up with sneakers from time to time. So during a party out in Las Vegas last week, he was caught wearing a pair of the new Reebok Kamikaze I OG sneakers that are being re-released this week. He also put together a short video for the Kamikaze I OGs that was just released by Reebok. It’s a little bit weird to see Ross still spreading the love for Reebok, considering he’s not supposed to be down with them anymore. But we love the Kamikaze I sneaker, so you won’t catch us complaining about it. You can check out the video of Ross wearing his Kamikaze I OGs here:

After seeing the Kamikaze I sneakers in that video—and seeing that Rick Ross is down with them—are you more or less excited about them? And sneakers aside, do you think it’s right for Rick Ross to be helping promote Reebok right now? Let us know in the comments section below. Either way, the Reebok Kamikaze I OG sneaker will be available on Friday and will sell for $115 through a variety of Reebok retailers. Cop a pair while you can!
