Quentin Tarantino New Movie Scrapped After Script Leaks Online

Quentin Tarantino has been hard at work writing his new Western film titled The Hateful Eight. But just as the anticipation for the project began to stir up a buzz in Hollywood, a shady act has forced Tarantino to shift direction.

Apparently, Tarantino’s first draft of the script has leaked online. It upset the director so much that he has now decided to to scrap the film and will likely turn The Hateful Eight into a book. The news came courtesy of Deadline as Tarantino vented about the issue.

“I’m very, very depressed,” he said. “I finished a script, a first draft, and I didn’t mean to shoot it until next winter, a year from now. I gave it to six people, and apparently it’s gotten out today.”

It appears that Tarantino is more upset about the timing of the leak considering that he hasn’t even began to discuss production.

“I do like the fact that everyone eventually posts it, gets it and reviews it on the net. Frankly I wouldn’t want it any other way. I like the fact that people like my sh*t, and that they go out of their way to find it and read it. But I gave it to six mother*cking people!”

Tarantino is trying to decide who the culprit of the leak is and has narrowed it down to the agents of either Bruce Dern or Michael Madsen. But he is still unsure as to how and why the script was leaked. In the meantime, he seems pretty determined to nix the film for a book. However, with Tarantino, it can all change in the next few months. In the midst of all this, he did reveal that he has another project that he has been working on, although he wouldn’t reveal exactly what it was. “Kill Bill 3″ maybe? We hope?
