They could have come up with a better name for it, but the rematch between Timothy Bradley and Manny Pacquiao is signed, sealed and will be delivered on April 12 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

“Let’s Play Two” is what it is being dubbed. Pacquiao will seek revenge on Bradley for handing him a loss in the most controversial of fashions, while Bradley will look to prove that he is indeed one of the best fighters in the world and his split decision victory wasn’t a fluke.

It becomes a far more interesting fight considering what has happened in the past year. Since their first encounter, Pacquiao found himself flattened by Juan Manuel Marquez and many wondered whether he would be able to return after such a vicious knockout. Pacquiao would redeem himself with a strong performance against Brandon “Bam Bam” Rios last November, but it was a fight that was tailor-made for the returning Filipino.

On the other side, Bradley engaged in the 2013 Fight of the Year when he and Ruslan Providnikov put on an exceptional display of guts and glory last March. It was a fight that was clearly necessary for Bradley so he could prove to fans and skeptics that he is far more than a trivia question to Pacquiao’s career. He took that notion a step further when he out dueled Marquez — who was fresh off the Pacquiao knockout — and earned a decision victory last October.

Before, many would consider Bradley to be a huge underdog. Now, with Bradley upending Marquez, the stakes are higher and the gap between the fighters is a whole lot closer. Pacquiao will likely be the favorite, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the oddsmakers had Bradley as close as a 2-1 underdog at best. Hell, I wouldn’t be shocked if it was even money.

Questions will be answered and one of their careers will take a serious hit.
