Britney Spears Talks Evolution In Vegas: “I’m Older, Wiser, But I’m Way Less Fearless”

A tale of two Britneys is the story being told in Vegas magazine’s Winter 2014 issue. The sexy 32-year-old pop star shows off her infamous pop star physique in a dominatrix-inspired leather bodysuit on the cover of the glossy. But inside, Ms. Spears confesses that her career takes a backseat to motherhood.

“When I’m being a mom, I’m a mom all the way,” the star says of sons Sean Federline, 8, and Jayden James Federline, 7. “I’m worried all the time and always thinking about what we should be doing and should not be doing. But when I am onstage, it’s like my therapy time. I get to be this person that I’m really not. It’s a way to get out of my own head and have some fun.”

Preparing for her two-year residency at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas definitely took a piece out of the “Piece of Me” singer’s schedule. But Spears is confident that she’ll still be all to give most of her time to what truly matters to her. “It’s a grueling schedule…I think I’ll be able to live a normal life with my kids,” she explains. “I will have some nights where I’ll come back to L.A. after the show and some when I’ll stay over in Las Vegas.”

Despite the crazy juggling act, Spears is ready and willing to prove to naysayers that she has still got it. “I’m older, obviously, and I think I’m probably a little bit wiser, but I’m way less fearless,” says Britney of aging in the music business over the past two decades. “At the heart of it all, I want there to be enough dance. I want there to be enough singing. And I want it to be magical.”
