Draya Michele Reveals Her Boyfriend Wants Her To Quit Basketball Wives: LA

We may be only two episodes into the latest season of Basketball Wives: LA, but Draya Michele‘s boyfriend, Orlando Scandrick, has already seen enough of his woman getting caught in the middle of the angry bird drama on the show. According to Draya, who’s one of only three remaining original BBW: LA cast members, the NFL baller wants her to quit the VH1 reality series. She recently told the radio show Big Boy’s Neighborhood:

“You know what? I think it’s been really hard on my boyfriend. We watch it together and he’s came to the point already. It’s been episode one, we saw 60 minutes of what is going to be going on for 12 weeks and he’s like ‘You know what? I don’t think you should do this next year. How much are they paying you again? I’ll pay you double to sit your a** on the couch.’”

Despite the generous offer, Draya isn’t quite ready to walk away from reality TV just yet. She told the show:

“Well, I think that ‘Basketball Wives’ is my date to the prom so I gotta dance with her for a little bit because that’s who I came with,” she explained. “But I don’t have to go home to her at the end of the night. So I would like to do my own thing eventually. Once the ‘Basketball Wives’ train comes to a stop, I would like to graduate into the Draya Show and I’m already transitioning into that.”

In all honestly, Draya is and has always been one of the more interesting cast members on the show. I dare say the show may lose some viewers if she decides to walk away from it one day. Check out her full interview with Big Boy’s Neighborhood below.
