Watch Paul Rudd Destroy Jimmy Fallon In A Lip Synch Battle

Jimmy Fallon is off to a hot start as host of The Tonight Show. Just a week after debuting, the master of the late night internet video has already scored a viral hit with his epic lip synch battle with actor Paul Rudd.

The competition shows Rudd opening strong with a playful, angry delivery of “living legend Tina Turner“‘s hit, “Better Be Good To Me.” Fallon countered with an all-out, though somewhat spastic, rendition of “Juke Box Hero” by Journey.

But Rudd’s microphone-less, fully choreographed lip synch of Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now” brought down the house. Fallon conceded defeat without performing his second selection.

The episode also scored a viral image when Fallon and guest Shaquille O’Neal swapped suit jackets. The lanky, 6-foot tall host was dwarfed by the clothing of the 7’1″, 300-plus pound former NBA star.

Fallon’s first week at The Tonight Show bodes well for the franchise, giving the show its highest ratings since 1993, and easily topping its competitors at the other networks. And Late Night with Seth Meyers debuted on Monday, also with strong ratings, topping Fallon’s own Late Night debut in 2009.
