Allen Iverson Talks About The Reebok Questions That Were Created For His Jersey Retirement Ceremony
Earlier this week, we told you about a rumor that was circulating about how Reebok was reportedly creating a special Reebok Question colorway for Allen Iverson‘s jersey retirement ceremony. And as it turns out, that rumor is 100 percent true. Reebok has come out and revealed that they are going to release a limited-edition Reebok Question to help celebrate AI’s legacy—and they’re going to do it shortly after Iverson’s jersey is retired at the Philadelphia 76ers game tonight.
The limited-edition Reebok Question—which you can see in the photo above—features the 76ers’ team colors on the upper. There is also a white midsole and gold accents on the sneaker. And Reebok has announced that only 1,996 pairs of this particular Question will be sold, which will make it incredibly difficult to find. They plan on announcing where you’ll be able to buy the Questions during AI’s jersey retirement ceremony tonight. And it sounds like AI is honored that Reebok would make him this special sneaker.
“Words cannot express what it means to have the 76ers organization retire my jersey,” he said in a statement released late this week. “And to have Reebok make the Banner Question that’s symbolic of this event makes it even more special. The Sixers and Reebok are two partners that have always had my back and for that I’m forever grateful.”
You’ll have to wait until tonight to find out where you can buy the sneakers. But they won’t be available until March 14 through select retailers. And they’re guaranteed to sell out really quickly, seeing as how only 1,996 pairs were made.
