Lorde To Debut A Limited-Edition Makeup Collection With MAC Cosmetics
Lorde is poised to become a beauty royal.
The 17-year-old New Zealander, who rose to fame last year thanks to the debut of her hit single “Royals,” is ready to rule your vanity with the debut of her limited edition makeup line with MAC Cosmetics. Inspired by Lorde’s signature vampy look, the capsule collection will feature the teen’s signature purplish-plum lip shade.
For Lorde, whose real name is Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O’Connor, the project is a dream come true.
“I have loved MAC Cosmetics since I was a little kid,” the two-time Grammy Award-winning artist revealed to The Cut. “I remember saving up to buy my very first MAC lipstick [Snob] at 14, and it was used by about 20 of my friends! MAC has a very clear aesthetic, that has always felt fashion forward to me. So I was really excited to work with them on these products, which I use pretty much every day and night. I hope you will too.”
Take a gander at the Lorde x Mac Cosmetics “Face” below, which was created with the help of MAC senior artist Amber Dreadon, who travels with the singer on tour. The limited-edition collection is set to hit stores on June 5. Are you excited to mimic the look of this Pure Heroine?
