Check Out This Crazy Wheel Of Fortune Solve

On last night’s Wheel of Fortune, a contestant pulled off what host Pat Sajak later called on Twitter the “most amazing solve in [his] 30+ years on the show.”

Contestant Emil faced three words with a total of twelve letters, and only the first two were filled in: “NE.” After his second round of letters reveals no further help, Emil has to start guessing with only the hint that the answer is a “thing.”

The first words out of his mouth are “new baby buggy.” Then, a full three seconds elapse as Emil continues to think of ideas, before the board lights up showing his correct answer. Possibly, the delay was due to Sajak and the production crew being frozen in disbelief.

But with the revelation, Emil nearly collapses with surprise. Sajak is stunned, and then pretends to frisk the contestant, checking him for any cheating materials.

Adding to the incredible solve is the oddness of the answer. Sure, it’s a real thing, but “new baby buggy” isn’t a common term, in this or any recent generation. Emil somehow overcame that and a near-complete lack of helpful letters, and is going home $45,000 richer as a result.

Way to go, Emil. This might be a good time for you to fill out an NCAA bracket.
