Do You Like That adidas Originals Is Bringing Back The Streetball 2 Sneaker?

What kind of sneakers do you wear when you play streetball? These days, it seems like guys will play in just about anything. Air Jordans? Fine. Nike LeBrons? Cool. Reebok Shaqnosises? Yeah, they’ll work. Even though those sneakers cost a ton of money, there are some dudes who will wear them to play ball outside because, hey, you’ve gotta look good when you’re out on the court, right?

Well, once upon a time, it wasn’t that way. There were sneakers that were for playing indoors, and then there were sneakers that were for playing outdoors. And the adidas Originals Streetball 2 sneakers that you see here were for hitting the pavement and, as their name suggests, playing on the blacktop.

The Streetball 2 sneakers were originally released all the way back in 1993. But later this month, adidas Originals is planning on re-releasing them. They gave the Streetball 2 sneakers to Jeremy Scott recently and asked him to put his own twist on them. So these sneakers look a lot different than you might remember them. But they still have the same basic design as the original Streetball 2. And they’re still designed to be used outdoors, though they also look like they’d be a pretty decent sneaker to wear just about anywhere. There is a lot of neon worked into each Streetball 2, so you’ll have no problem standing out in these, regardless of where you decide to wear them.

If you’re interested in picking up a pair of Streetball 2 sneakers, adidas is going to be re-releasing them on Saturday, March 29 through select adidas Originals retailers and through the adidas Originals website. Check out all of the additional images of the Streetball 2 that we’ve included below, and then let us know if you plan on picking up a pair of these. Are you a fan of what adidas Originals and Jeremy Scott have done to this streetball staple?
