Wait, Is This One Of The Sneakers That Kanye West Is Going To Put Out Through adidas This Summer?

First things first: We don’t think that the sneakers that Kanye West designs for adidas are going to look anything like the sneakers that he designed for Nike. While the Nike Air Yeezy and the Nike Air Yeezy 2 were huge successes for him while he was running with the Swoosh, it would be foolish for us to assume that he was going to stick with his Yeezy formula when it came time to design for adidas. However, we also aren’t really expecting Kanye to go too far left with his adidas designs. But from the looks of things, that’s exactly what he’s going to do when he drops his first sneaker this June.

There’s been no official confirmation from adidas just yet (and we’re not really expecting any for quite some time). But according to the photos that you see here, which leaked on the ‘net yesterday, Kanye may be going away—way away!—from his Air Yeezy designs and coming with a loafer-style sneaker as one of his first adidas offerings. In fact, the sneaker that you see here doesn’t really even look like a sneaker, does it? It features a strap across the top, a very small adidas trefoil, and a tan color that makes these look very, er, “dad-ish.” We definitely were not expecting something like this from Kanye, and we’re not really sure how we feel about this particular design.

The good news here is that, as we mentioned, these might not be Kanye’s designs. Additionally, Kanye is currently working on upwards of 20 sneaker designs for adidas at the moment. So even if these are one of his designs, there are going to be lots of other choices for sneakerheads when the adidas x Kanye West collection finally drops. This won’t be the only one, if it’s included in the collection.

But even with that in mind, how do you feel about the design of this sneaker? If this does turn out to be one of Kanye’s creations, do you think people are going to flock towards this? Or should Kanye go back to the drawing board? Let us know in the comments section below.
