Michelle Williams is a perfect fit, literally, for the new Spring 2014 handbag campaign for Louis Vuitton. The 33-year-old actress, who was announced as the new face of the french luxury brand last July, stuns in the new campaign shot by Peter Lindberg.

“Michelle Williams was selected by Louis Vuitton for her independent spirit with which she has forged her path through Hollywood,” the brand said in a statement, “defined by her outstanding talent, her passion for her craft, and her choice of daring and challenging roles.”

In the new campaign, the My Week With Marilyn star poses with Louis Vuitton’s key city bags. The Capucines, Alma, and a new version of the Lockit all represent “three different facets of femininity. The Lockit is a reinterpretation of a 1950s design, with Williams posing as a classic ‘Parisienne,’ in a series of nonchalant looks. The ladylike Capucines gets a more serious treatment, while the Alma’s colorful mix of Epi leathers are showcased with the actress goofing around on a pile of Vuitton trunks (as seen below).”

Check out Michelle Williams’ full Louis Vuitton handbag campaign, styled by the legendary Carine Roitfeld with hair by Sam McKnight and makeup by Stéphane Marais. Do you think Williams, who follows in the footsteps of Madonna, Scarlett Johansson, Uma Thurman, and Miss Piggy, carries this baggage like a true lady?
