After Seeing The Teaser For It, Will You Watch Donald Sterling’s CNN Interview Tonight?

Late last week, CNN reporter Anderson Cooper sat down with Donald Sterling, the owner of the Los Angeles Clippers, to talk about the recent racist remarks that he got caught making, the backlash that he’s received, and, of course, V. Stiviano. And earlier this morning, CNN released a teaser of the interview that looks like this:

As you can see, Sterling didn’t look all that apologetic about the racist remarks that he made. He also didn’t have too many nice things to say about Magic Johnson, the man he told V. Stiviano to stop hanging out with in his racist remarks. And during the interview, he also sounded a little bit incoherent and very out of touch with the controversy that he had caused. He may want forgiveness from people, which is why he agreed to sit down with Cooper in the first place. But he certainly didn’t sound like a guy worthy of forgiveness at this particular time. He sounded like someone who needs to prove that he deserves forgiveness before anyone even thinks about giving it to him.

We also have to admit that, after watching the teaser, we’re not all that excited about seeing what else Sterling has to say. We were expecting him to either offer up some sort of explanation about the remarks he made or come right out and express sorrow. But it doesn’t look like he did either of those things in the interview with Cooper. Instead, it appears as though Sterling put on a spectacle and basked in the spotlight that he received from CNN. And that’s not what we want to see from him right now. We either want an apology or, frankly, we just want the guy to go away and stop making headlines for all of the wrong reasons.

After seeing the teaser, are you going to sit down and watch Sterling’s interview with CNN when he goes on the record with Cooper tonight? Let us know in the comments section below.
