Do You Like The Sneaker That The NBA Is Going To Release To Celebrate Its 68th Anniversary?

On Friday, the National Basketball Association will officially turn 68 years old. Way back in 1946, the league was born and, ever since then, it’s been growing at a steady rate. It’s now one of the biggest sports leagues in the entire world, and it continues to get larger and larger every single year. So in honor of that, the league has created something very special this year to pay tribute to its 68th anniversary.

That something special is a pair of NBA sneakers. They’re not Nike or Reebok or adidas sneakers, either. They’re simply a pair of sneakers that were built for and by the NBA recently in order to pay homage to their own greatness. And truth be told, they’re actually not a bad-looking pair of sneakers. When we first heard that the NBA was going to release their own sneakers, we thought, “Meh.” The chances of them being cool were slim to none. But at first glance, these sneakers reminded us of a pair of Nike LeBron 8 sneakers, and that’s a good thing seeing as how those sneakers were so well received. We don’t imagine a ton of people are going to actually buy these, because of the blatant NBA branding. But these could have been much worse than what they turned out to be.

Unfortunately, though, even you do want a pair of these, you’re probably not going to be able to get your hands on them, because the NBA is only going to create a very limited supply. They’re going to release 1,946 pairs of the sneakers on June 6 with the 1,946 representing the year 1946. But if you are able to grab a pair, will you do it? Or do you think that these are bargain bin material?

Check out the box that the NBA sneakers will come in below and then let us know what you think about them.
