BET Wants A Chris Brown Reality Show
If BET gets its way, Chris Brown will be the latest entertainer to join the world of reality television. Reportedly, the network is interested in airing a reality show that follows the controversial R&B star’s life post-prison.
BET brass has already made it clear to production companies that they would air a show starring Chris, but no one has yet to sign the 25-year-old to a deal. Nevertheless, a focus group to gauge potential interest in a Chris Brown reality show has already happened. According to TMZ:
“A focus group was held Tuesday in the San Fernando Valley … asking participants if they’d watch a reality show in which Chris tries to stay on the straight and narrow — free from violence and drugs.
We’re told the group — comprised entirely of African American females — was split, but the majority said they’d watch to see if Chris would screw up.”
I’m not a Chris Brown fan by far, but the last thing I want to see is him mess up again. I guess reality television truly is trainwreck TV if that’s the only way people will watch.
