Don’t Dwyane Wade’s New Li-Ning Way Of Wade 2 “Wadeorade” Sneakers Remind You Of A Bottle Of Gatorade?

Earlier this month, Gatorade came under heavy fire after LeBron James cramped up in the middle of Game 1 of the 2014 NBA Finals. Shortly after the game ended, whoever runs Gatorade’s Twitter account took several shots at James, who is an endorser of Gatorade’s competitor Powerade. But as it turned out, James was actually drinking Gatorade, not Powerade, throughout the game, since Gatorade is an official sponsor of the NBA. So the Gatorade brand took a hit and James later refused to acknowledge the company when he was asked about Gatorade’s comments about him.

With that being said, though, not everyone on the Miami Heat is angry with Gatorade right now. In fact, James’ teammate and close friend Dwyane Wade is still riding for the sports drink company—a company that he’s been endorsing since 2005. And he’s actually riding so hard for them that he just worked with Li-Ning to create a special Li-Ning Way of Wade 2 “Wadeorade” sneaker. It features the orange color that has come to represent the Gatorade brand as well as small hits of Gatorade green that are found on a bottle of every Gatorade sports drink. Grey and a grey camo are also worked into the mix on the midsole of the sneaker and obviously the name of the sneakers—”Wadeorade”—is a play on the Gatorade name.

What do you think about what Wade and Li-Ning have done here? We like how bright and vibrant these sneakers are. But Li-Ning hasn’t announced any release info on these sneakers yet. So even if you do like them, there’s a pretty good chance that you won’t be able to pick up a pair anytime soon. Let us know whether or not you like the idea of Wade promoting two of the brands he endorses with a single sneaker.
