Robin Thicke Opens Up About Split With Paula Patton
Robin Thicke is opening up about his split with Paula Patton. During a visit to NYC’s Hot 97 radio station to promote his new album, simply titled Paula, the R&B crooner admitted that he hadn’t seen his estranged wife in four months, and explained why the album is a dedication to her. He told radio personalities Ebro and Peter Rosenberg, “She’s the best girl in the world, a great mother and still a good friend. But because we weren’t ever together anymore and I still had so much I wanted to apologize for and things I wanted to take responsibility for so that’s pretty much what the album is about.”
Admitting the role he played in the split with his wife, Robin went on to address some of the reasons why the breakup occurred, saying, “We’re apart because we just couldn’t be together anymore. There are a hundred of different reasons, there’s a long list. I changed and I got a little too selfish, a little too greedy, a little too full of myself.”
Robin looks like he’s really going through it in the video of his interview at Hot, and although he’s wrong for his highly-publicized disrespectful behavior (he was not carrying himself like a married man), I’m actually starting to feel sorry for the dude. Check out the interview in its entirety in the video below.
