Do You Plan On Picking Up The Reebok Shaq Attaq IV Re-Release Today?
Twenty years ago, Shaquille O’Neal hadn’t even entered the prime of his NBA career yet. He was still just a fresh-faced kid trying to make it in the NBA. He hadn’t won his first NBA championship. He wasn’t yet considered one of the best big men to ever patrol the paint during an NBA game. And he was still just a shell of the player—and the person—he would eventually become. But even at an early age, Reebok really believed in Shaq, which is why he was already on his fourth—yes, fourth—signature sneaker by the time the 1994-95 NBA season rolled around. He hadn’t really scratched the surface as far as what he was going to do in the NBA. But he was already a force to be reckoned with as far as sneakers were concerned.
Today, Reebok is celebrating Shaq’s fourth signature sneaker, which he wore all throughout the ’94-’95 NBA season, by re-releasing the Reebok Shaq Attaq IV to the masses. In 1995, Shaq wore the sneakers while leading the Orlando Magic to the NBA Finals to play against the Houston Rockets. So the Shaq Attaq IV sneakers that Reebok is putting out today will feature a Magic-inspired colorway. They’ll also come with the original Instapump technology that Reebok used when they built the sneaker back in the mid-1990s. And believe it or not, Reebok is even throwing in a manual hand pump for the Shaq Attaq IV re-releases. It’ll allow you to pump up the sneaker and add air to the heel of the sneaker, which will give you additional support.
The Shaq Attaq IV sneakers hit stores today and will be available through a variety of different Reebok retailers. They are set to retail for $140. What do you think of Reebok re-releasing these sneakers? Are you a fan of the hand pump being included? And will you pick up a pair of these at some point today?
