Beyonce To Perform At VMAs And Receive Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award
Although her marriage has been dogged by divorce rumors over the last few months, Beyoncé continues to rack up the career accomplishments. Reportedly, the music superstar has been confirmed to perform at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards, and will be rewarded the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. According to the LA Times:
“Beyoncé’s history with MTV is extensive, with the superstar routinely using the VMA stage for some of her most career-defining performances. She hung from the ceiling for her first showing as a solo act in 2003 and caused Internet hysteria when she revealed she was pregnant at the end of her 2011 performance of ‘Love On Top.’”
Beyoncé leads the pack in VMA nominations with eight total, including Video of the Year for “Drunk In Love”, as well as Best Female and Best Choreography for “Partition.”
The 2014 VMAs will air live on August 24 on MTV. Will you be tuning in?
