Can Chris Bosh Force Heat Fans To Forget About LeBron James?

When LeBron James decided to leave the Miami Heat and take his talents back to the Cleveland Cavaliers this summer, Dwyane Wade didn’t get mad at him. In fact, LeBron and D-Wade were spotted hanging out together in the days leading up to LeBron announcing his decision to return to Cleveland. And since then, he’s spoken about how LeBron is still one of his best friends, despite the fact that they’re no longer playing together. However, the same cannot be said about LeBron and Chris Bosh.

Yesterday, Bosh held a Q&A session with reporters. And during it, he made it perfectly clear that he is not tight with LeBron anymore, even though he didn’t say those exact words. He revealed that he has not spoken with LeBron since he left Miami for Cleveland. He said that he’s not really looking forward to seeing LeBron when the Heat travel to Brazil to take on the Cavaliers in a preseason game this weekend. And he said that he’s only concerned with his Heat teammates and not LeBron.

“I’m in the mode where I’m trying to lead my team, help these guys out around here,” he said. “If guys aren’t in this locker room, I don’t have much time for them—if any.”

He also said that his Heat teammates are moving on from LeBron.

“The past is the past,” he said. “We’re moving on, and it’s good to get this [first matchup between the Heat and Cavaliers] out of the way.”

So is Bosh angry with LeBron? It sure sounds like it and, truth be told, that could be great for the Heat. While they’re probably going to struggle initially to move forward without LeBron, they need Bosh—who signed a huge contract this offseason—to be the man in Miami and to do some of the things that LeBron used to do. In order to do that, he needs to be angry, motivated, and ready to do whatever it takes to make Miami fans forget about LeBron. And it sounds like that’s exactly what he’s going to do once the NBA season starts, which is a great thing for Miami fans.

Do you think Bosh will be able to guide the Heat to greatness this season? Let us know.
