90s Girl Group En Vogue Star In Upcoming Christmas Movie, An En Vogue Christmas
If you’re a child of the 80s, then you are very familiar with En Vogue, the platinum selling, multi-award–winning girl group that emerged in the early 90s. Comprised of Cindy Herron, Maxine Jones, Dawn Robinson, and Terry Ellis, the foursome cranked out hits such as “Lies,” “Free Your Mind,” and “Hold On,” during their peak of their success during the early to mid-90s.
In the years since then, the ladies have split up and gone their separate ways, with Cindy Herron and Terry Ellis continuing to perform using the En Vogue name with new member, Rhona Bennett. On November 22, the now trio will star in An En Vogue Christmas on Lifetime, and according to the synopsis on the network’s website:
“Over the years, the funky divas of En Vogue have gone their separate ways, until they are asked to perform a benefit concert to save the club that made them stars. They put aside their hesitations to reunite for the special night, but first must overcome their challenging history with Marty (played by comedian David Alan Grier), their former manager and the man responsible for breaking them up.”
An En Vogue Christmas premieres Saturday, November 22 at 8 pm on Lifetime.
