After 14 years on the air, BET has finally pulled the plug on their daily music video show, 106 & Park. The news was revealed by the network Friday via Twitter, accompanied by the announcement that the show is going digital-only. “After 14 yrs as America’s #1 music show on BET, #106andPark is blazing a new trail as a digital brand and will exit as a daily TV show,” the tweet read.

On their website, BET detailed plans for the 106 & Park brand following the day the last episode will air on December 19. “The 106 & Park brand remains strong and will continue to produce various specials throughout the year, including its annual New Year’s Eve show, 106 & Party, along with live event experiences at the BET Awards and BET Experience,” the press release said. “In 2015, 106 & Park looks forward to continuing its reign as the hottest hangout on one of the coolest digital platforms, BET.com.”

106 & Park first aired in 2000 from its original studio in Harlem – the show’s title was taken from the address of the original studio at East 106th Street and Park Avenue. When Viacom acquired BET, the production was moved its present location at the CBS Broadcast Center. Originally hosted by A. J. Calloway and Marie “Free” Wright, the show is currently hosted by Shad “Bow Wow” Moss and Keshia Chanté.
