Is Everyone Really Going To Be Able To Get A Pair Of Kanye West’s adidas Yeezy 750 Boost Sneakers?
When Nike released the Air Yeezy and Air Yeezy 2 sneakers that Kanye West created for them, it was incredibly difficult for the average sneakerhead to get their hands on a pair. Nike only produced so many pairs of them, and once they were gone, they were gone. So the people who wanted them were either forced to pay an outrageous price for them or to do without them. They simply didn’t have a choice. But now that he’s rolling with adidas, Kanye has promised not to do that to sneakerheads again.
During an interview with Ryan Seacrest on Wednesday, Kanye revealed that adidas has only produced 9,000 pairs of the new adidas Yeezy 750 Boost sneakers. He also revealed that they’ll cost $350, meaning they will likely go for well over $500 on the secondary market. However, according to Kanye, there will be more Yeezy 750 Boosts on the way. You’re just going to have to be patient and wait for them.
“I just want everyone to be safe and patient,” he said. “Just be patient because we’ll make more Yeezys. Eventually, everybody who wants to get Yeezys will get Yeezys. adidas has promised me that because there’s so many kids that have wanted them that couldn’t get them and I talked to the heads at adidas and they said we can make them.”
How long will that take, though? We admire Kanye for trying to make sure that everyone is able to buy the Yeezy 750 Boosts. But even if adidas produces more, it’s still going to be difficult for the average person to get their hands on them, unless they’re willing to spend a ton of time trying to find them or willing to pay top dollar for a pair. So despite what Kanye told Seacrest, we’re skeptical about “everyone” being able to land a pair of the new Yeezys. Let’s hope we’re wrong.
