Kanye West Took A Shot At Nike During His Roc City Classic Concert Last Night

Kanye West isn’t messing with Nike anymore. Even though he released two classic sneakers through the Swoosh—the Nike Air Yeezy and the Nike Air Yeezy 2—Kanye is 100 percent down with adidas right now. He just released his first sneaker with them, the adidas Yeezy 750 Boost, and he also showed off a line of adidas clothing that will hit stores soon during an event that he held in New York City yesterday. So it’s clear that he’s not dwelling on his past with Nike at the moment. Er, or is he?

Last night, Kanye took part in a concert called the Roc City Classic in NYC. And at one point during the concert, he shouted out adidas and thanked them for supporting his recent venture with the company:

Kanye shouts @Adidas.

But he also used the concert to send a shot in Nike’s direction. He didn’t mention them specifically by name. But at one point he did ask the crowd not to wear Nike anymore. “We ain’t wearing that other company no more, right?” he asked, much to the delight of all of the fans in attendance.

Kanye grew up wearing Nike and Air Jordan sneakers. So we doubt that he really hates the company. But at the present moment, he has put forth a lot of time and effort towards making his adidas collection special. So as we said, he’s 100 percent down with adidas and isn’t going to be shy about letting the world know it. So don’t be surprised if he throws more shots at Nike in the near future. It just sort of comes with the territory right now.

Do you like the adidas sneaker that Kanye West just dropped? Or were you more of a fan of the stuff that he did with Nike? Let us know.
