After months of Young Thug teasing that the title of his album would be Carter 6 – in disrespect homage to Lil Wayne‘s album series of the same name — it appears that Thugger has finally had a change of heart.

For whatever reason (which we may assume is legal), Young Thug has decided to rename his album Barter 6. We know, it’s a stretch for anyone to believe that the Atlanta rapper’s album title will make you think of anything but Tha Carter. Nevertheless, Barter 6 is coming on April 17. But if you think everything is cool between Lil Wayne and Young Thug, think again.

Young Thug released an Instagram video that certainly will raise eyebrows.

With two guys holding firearms behind him, Thug issues the following message.

“YSL Carter 6 coming out Friday. First show, New Orleans, Hollygrove fuck nigga, meet me there, better yet beat me there,” he says.

It’s obvious that the message is for Lil Wayne, as Hollygrove is where Weezy calls home. It’s an awkward message as Young Thug has said he wouldn’t be beefing with Lil Wayne. However, this message is clearly a shot at Weezy F. Baby. Perhaps the Lil Wayne show where he urged the crowd to not get behind a rapper who gets naked on his album cover was the straw that finally broke the camel’s back.

Where this beef goes is anyone’s guess. But it doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon.
