Kim Kardashian Rents Out The Staples Center For Kanye West & Proves She’s The Wife Of The Year

There probably aren’t a whole lot of things that Kanye West wants and doesn’t have. Music and fashion have made him rich beyond his wildest dreams, so if he wants to buy a new pair of sneakers, a car, or, hell, a house on a whim, he can do it. And we imagine that that makes it really, really difficult for his wife Kim Kardashian to buy him gifts for his birthday. Like, can you imagine walking through a store and trying to pick something out for Kanye? Outside of the fact that he probably won’t love whatever you get him (no ties or “No. 1 Dad” T-shirts for him, please!), he could also easily afford to buy whatever you get him. So it’d be impossible to make him happy.

Kim managed to find a way to do it yesterday, though, as she thought up the perfect gift for Kanye. But it wasn’t a new watch, a new ride, or some other tangible item. Instead, Kim rented out the Staples Center in Los Angeles—THE STAPLES CENTER!—and let Kanye and his friends play basketball for a few hours inside of it. She even brought in real NBA referees, according to TMZ Sports, just so Kanye, Justin Bieber, Tyga, and others could get a true experience inside of the arena, which serves as the home of the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers. It looks like everyone had a great time:

Say what you want about Kim—and we know you will—but this was pretty much the coolest gift ever. It was thoughtful (Kanye loves to play basketball), it was from the heart, and while it didn’t break the bank (it reportedly “only” cost about $100,000 for Kim to rent the Staples Center, which is nothing in Kim and Kanye’s world), it was something that Kanye never would have bought for himself. Well done, Kim. You’re going to have a hell of a time topping this gift next year.
