Will Kanye West’s adidas Yeezy Boost 350 Be A Success?

Earlier this year, Kanye West‘s first adidas sneaker, the adidas Yeezy Boost, hit stores. Or rather, it hit online through adidas’ Confirmed app—and then promptly sold out before 99.999999999 percent of people could get their hands on it. There was a very limited number of Yeezy Boosts available, and they sold out almost immediately. So while the jury is still out on whether or not the Yeezy Boost is going to go down as a truly great sneaker, there’s no denying that it did what it was supposed to do in a commercial sense. It sold, and it sold remarkably well.

With that in mind, adidas isn’t wasting much time when it comes to releasing another sneaker. This one, the adidas Yeezy Boost 350, looks decidedly different when compared to the original Boost. It has some of the same features, like the Boost sole, which make it a nice companion to the original Boost. But it’s a low-top sneaker and being viewed as the more “wearable” Yeezy. Or more appropriately, the Yeezy that you can actually wear to do stuff other than floss in front of your friends. It is made with adidas’ Primeknit technology and has a high-end look to it.

Will it be a hit, though? That obviously remains to be seen. If we had to guess, the Yeezy Boost 350 will sell just as well as the original Boost did when it’s released on June 27. Once again, adidas is going to release the Yeezy Boost 350 through their Confirmed app and, once again, people are going to flock to it simply because of the hype surrounding it. But at $200, it’s not a particularly cheap sneaker. And unlike the original Boost and the Nike Air Yeezy sneakers, it doesn’t have the look or feel of a sneaker that you need to have this summer. In fact, we’d argue that adidas has better, more affordable low-top options like the adidas Energy Boost for those who want a sneaker that’s similar to the Yeezy Boost 350.

We’ve included some additional photos of the Yeezy Boost 350 below. Are you a fan, and are you going to try to cop a pair? Let us know.
