The New Edition Story has pulled in big ratings for BET!!
Part 1 of the epic three-part miniseries premiered Tuesday on both BET and Centric, pulling in 4.4 million viewers – 2.6 million of which were in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic. According to Variety.com:
BET attracted the lion’s share of the audience, with 4.2 million total viewers and 2.5 million in the demo. That overall 2.6 million figure in the demo translates to a 1.44 rating, outdoing most of the series on broadcast TV that night. On BET, it was the network’s highest-rated premiere in five years.
The New Edition Story chronicles the ups and downs of the legendary music group from their humble beginnings in Boston to individual solo success and everything in between. The miniseries is co-produced by NE group members Ronnie DeVoe, Ricky Bell, Johnny Gill, Michael Bivins and Ralph Tresvant.
