Did Conor McGregor Cross The Line With His Comments About The Kardashians?

Conor McGregor is known to talk trash about, well, just about everyone. If you have a problem with McGregor or, worse, if you’re scheduled to take part in a fight against him, he is going to talk trash to you. Relentlessly. It’s part of what makes him so entertaining. It’s pretty much impossible to turn away from him when he starts going on a rant about an opponent.

On Wednesday, GQ Style released a cover story that they did on McGregor, and in it, McGregor talked trash about all kinds of things. He took issue with people saying they think Floyd Mayweather would beat him in a fight and said that his fist is as big as Mayweather’s head. He also took issue with those people who are protesting Donald Trump’s presidency and said, in so many words, that he thinks they’re wasting their time and should spend that time trying to better their own situation without thinking about who’s in charge of the country. And at one point, he even managed to work the Kardashians into the mix.

During a recent visit to California, it seems McGregor spent a week in Malibu. And while he was there, he was hoping to see the Kardashians and, in particular, Khloe. That led to him making some disparaging comments about her.

“Maybe I’ll search for Khloé’s big fat ass,” he said, “she’s been floating around Malibu. I don’t give a fuck about them. I just like to see them in the flesh.”

He was then asked if he wanted to meet the Kardashians or simply admire them from a distance. And he continued to make disrespectful comments about them.

“Not about admiring,” he said. “Admire? Never. What’s the saying? Never put the p*ssy on a pedestal, my friend. I just want to see it. I want to see them.”

McGregor’s comments didn’t go over particularly well, and it’s not hard to see why. His initial comment about “Khloé’s big fat ass” was bad enough, but then the bit about never putting the—well, you know—was just…not good. It was an obvious objectification of the Kardashians and made McGregor out to be a pretty terrible guy.

It doesn’t appear as though McGregor is all that broken up about the controversy he has caused. He’s yet to respond to it and has continued posting things on social media without a care in the world. But he took what could have and should have been a good opportunity for him to get exposure and turned it into a black eye by saying what he said about the Kardashians. For once, he should have skipped the trash talk and moved on to the next topic when he started talking about them.
