FOX Screens “Shots Fired” For Los Angeles Tastemakers

Last week, FOX screened the new series “Shots Fired” for over 300 VIPs at Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood. Show creators and executive producers Reggie Bythewood, Gina Prince-Bythewood and Francie Calfo were on hand along with cast members Sanaa Lathan, Stephan James, Mack Wilds, Stephen Moyer, Aisha Hinds, DeWanda Wise, Conor Leslie, Edwina Findley Dickerson and Yohance Myles.

The program opened with a welcome by KTTV anchor Christine Devine followed by an intro from Cassius Bythewood, son of Reggie and Gina Bythewood. After the screening, Pastor Toure Roberts (a consultant on “Shots Fired”) moderated a Q&A with the cast.

Special guests for the evening included director/choreographer Debbie Allen, Morris Chestnut (“Rosewood”), author Terry McMillan, actress Vanessa Williams (“Soul Food”), actress Regina Hall (When the Bough Breaks), actress Melissa de Sousa (Best Man Holiday), actor Michael Jai White, actress Gillian White, Ryan Destiny (“Star”), Alano Miller (“Underground”), singer/songwriter Antonique Smith, singer Kenny Lattimore, Morocco Omari (“Empire”), Gabrielle Dennis (“Rosewood”), actress Bresha Webb (Ride Along 2), singer/songwriter Estelle, actor/recording artist Darrin D. Henson, recording artist Major, tv personality Amanda Seales and many more.

“Shots Fired” is a 10-part event mystery that examines the dangerous aftermath of two racially charged shootings by law enforcement in a small southern town. The series premieres March 22 at 8/7c on FOX, prior to the spring return of “Empire” at 9/8c.
