Dwayne Johnson, Baldwin’s Trump Close Out SNL Strong

One-man entertainment machine Dwayne Johnson helped Saturday Night Live close out their most popular season in decades. Of course, the show had to pay tribute to President Donald Trump and Alec Baldwin, the two men largely responsible for this season’s killer ratings. (Along with “those pale people who ride the subway.”)

The episode opened with Trump (Baldwin) singing “Hallelujah.” On the first episode after the election, SNL featured the same setup, but with Hillary Clinton singing.

The sketch, and several other jokes in the episode, implied that Trump is nearing impeachment or resignation. (OK guys, remember how certain we were Hillary was gonna win? Let’s not make that mistake again.)

The episode also marked the last appearances of cast members Vanessa Bayer and Billy Moynihan. Fortunately, we got final appearances from Drunk Uncle and Dawn the Meterologist (although I would have preferred Jacob the Bar Mitzvah Boy).
