Growing up in New York City, dubbed 'the fashion capital of the United States', it seemed natural for Tara Decoda to pursue a career in fashion. Upon graduating high school, Tara decided she wanted to become a stylist to the stars and immediately began interning with some of the industry's most respected stylists such as Trina Patterson, Emily B and Misa Hylton-Brim. After mixing her love for fashion with her innate writing talent, she launched TheFashionManifesto.com on May 31, 2008. The goal she set for FM was to bring quality style advice to the urban reader, after noticing that most fashion sites didn't showcase celebrities and fashion that most urban readers relate to.
