Floyd Mayweather and nemesis Manny Pacquaio are on opposite sides of the ring once again, this time when it comes to same sex marriage.

Floyd spoke on the current hot topic via his Twitter account, writing “I stand behind President Obama & support gay marriage.” He then added, “I’m an American citizen & I believe people should live their life the way they want.”

Perhaps the “American citizen” statement was a dig at Pacquiao, a Filipino who is steadfast in his belief marriage between two people of the same sex should not be legalized. While he didn’t go as far as saying the occasion was punishable by death (as has been widely reported) a statement recently released on his official website makes it very clear the pugilist is standing by his views:

“Manny Pacquiao has never stated that anyone in the Gay Community deserved death. His statements were taken out of context, and were not his opinion. Pacquiao is simply against the marriage of anyone that is not Man and Woman as he believes is stated in the Bible. “I didn’t say that, that’s a lie… I didn’t know that quote from Leviticus because I haven’t read the Book of Leviticus yet,” he said. Pacquiao does not now and has never believed that people deserve death because of their sexual orientation.”

As for Mayweather, he is currently facing an 87-day jail sentence (starting June 1) for misdemeanor domestic violence charges, after pleading guilty that he attacked his ex-girlfriend while two of their children watched in September 2010.

The 24-year-old Barbadian pop star created her first capsule collection for Armani back in November and her sophomore effort is quite similar. Featuring skinny jeans, white tees, cotton basics, a gray leather motorcycle jacket, lace-up stiletto booties, underwear, tote bags, and even a denim bodysuit, the collection is dripping with Rihanna’s signature urban flair. And, of course, nothing will hit the shelves without Rihanna’s signature “R” logo.

As if life wasn’t good enough for the one-year-old celebrity spawns of pop diva Mariah Carey and her hubby America’s Got Talent host Nick Cannon, the cute twins were spoiled even more on April 30th at their first birthday party. For the sweet soiree—concidentally thrown on Nick and Mariah’s 4th wedding anniversary—”Roc” and “Roe” got a crash course on what it takes to party like a rockstar from their 42-year-old mom.

Set in Paris, France, Mom, Dad, and the babies all wore matching champagne and white ensembles for the black tie event. But, everyone knows a party ain’t a party without presents! So, after noshing on a lovely array of pastries, guests watched as the twins were surprised with over-the-top gifts, including a red Ferrari, a white rocking horse, and a baby grand piano.

Kim Kardashian channeled her momager mom, Kris Jenner, in a short wig for a recent photo shoot with Vogue Italia.

Despite allegedly being banned from this year’s MET Gala by Vogue‘s Editor-In-Chief Anna Wintour, the reality starlet wore low cut S&M-inspired threads for a fashion spread that’s set to appear in the July/August edition of L’Uomo Vogue, aka men’s Italian Vogue.

Directed by editor Rushka Bergman and shot by Francesco Corrozzini—the son of famed photographer Franca Sozzani— the theme of the fashion spread will apparently involve the 31-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashians star flanked by paparazzi. “Amazing shoot today for Vogue Italia,” Kim tweeted. “Thank you!”

On hand of course to wish Kim well was her new beau Kanye West. The 34-old-rapper popped up on set to give his cutie a smooch, providing the first-ever photograph of the couple kissing.

There’s a Nike LeBron 9 colorway for everything this year, isn’t there? So, why should LeBron James winning his third Most Valuable Player award in the last four years be any different?

To help Bron-Bron celebrate his big accomplishment last weekend, Nike just released these LeBron 9 “MVP” sneakers that are meant to help publicize LBJ being named the “Employee of the Year” in his field of work. In addition to the sneakers, Nike also put together the ad that you see above to help shed some light on the fact that although LeBron has won three MVP awards now, he still has one more thing that he really wants to add to his trophy case—an NBA championship. Still, for now, the MVP award is something to celebrate.

Let’s talk about the “MVP” sneakers for a second. As you can see, they come in a colorway that includes hits of white, black, red, and yellow that are meant to pay homage to the team colors worn by the Miami Heat. There’s an MVP logo on the heel of the sneaker and MVP trophies that make an appearance on the sock liner. And the speckled sole is something that really hasn’t been seen on many of the other LeBron 9 colorways that are out there. But, it’s meant to symbolize that fact that theres still work to be done for King James.

Unfortunately, it’s going to be very hard for you to get your hands on a pair of these. Presently, only Bron-Bron (and his celebrity friends) have access to them. But, it sounds like Nike is going to be releasing them in very limited quantities sometime next month. So, be on the lookout and stay tuned for additional details once they’re officially released.

Eduardo Saverin is about to become rich. And, we’re not just talking rich here. We’re talking rich. Filthy, stinking rich.

If you don’t know Saverin’s name, you’re not alone. Saverin is one of the founders of Facebook. But, if you’ve seen The Social Network, then you already know that he’s also the guy that Mark Zuckerberg stabbed in the back and pushed out of the company years ago. So, he hasn’t been in the spotlight for some time with regards to Facebook. However, he’s also the guy who still retains a four percent share of Facebook and stands to make somewhere in the neighborhood of 4 billion dollars soon after Facebook goes public. Yep, that’s right. The guy is set to become $4 billion richer anyday now! So, you better get familiar.

That shouldn’t be too hard, though. After all, because of his huge windfall, Saverin is making lots of headlines right now. Part of that is good for him—did we mention the $4 billion?—but part of that is bad. You see, recently, Saverin announced that he was renouncing his U.S. citizenship and moving to Singapore. He explained that he no longer likes the way America operates and that he wants to move out of the country ASAP.

But, there’s another reason it’s beneficial for him to renounce his citizenship. By doing so, Saverin will avoid paying Uncle Sam millions of dollars when he collects his $4 billion payout from Facebook. So, he’s decided to move to Singapore and reside there, because they don’t have a capital gains tax in place. As a result, he won’t be subjected to the same kinds of taxes that he’d be subjected to in America. The native of Brazil will still have to pay some taxes, but he’ll get to keep a much larger cut of his billion-dollar fortune.

Do you think that’s fair? Are you buying Saverin’s explanation that he’s not just moving to Signapore because of his sudden windfall? And, to put things into perspective: Would you move out of the United States and renounce your rights as a U.S. citizen if you ever came into a large sum of money—or would you stay in the U.S. and give up a part of it to remain here? Saverin made his decision. What would yours be?

Comedians sometimes talk about giving the audience “permission to laugh” at taboo topics. In Bobcat Goldwaith‘s disturbing and hilarious God Bless America, that permission comes in the form of Joel Murray‘s despondent sad-sack performance, and in the over-the-top style that thankfully distances the film from realism. Grounded in this, God Bless America will make you laugh even when you know you absolutely shouldn’t.

Murray is Frank, a schlub in Syracuse who has lost his wife, his daughter’s respect, his job, and soon, his life to a brain tumor. Deciding to off himself, Frank stops at the last second and decides to instead kill “people who deserve to die”: people who make their living spreading hatred and greed in the ego-obsessed society that has caused most of his ills. During his bloodbath spree across the country, he picks up an angsty teenage accomplice (Tara Lynne Barr), as they do in reality stars, blowhard pundits, and people who talk on their phones at the movies.

Murray’s despair and eventual peace go a long way in selling this cringe-worthy vigilanteism. His acts are never shown as macho, glorified, or heroic (a hilarious bit shows him flubbing an attempted assassination as he attempts to strut away in action-star style). This leaves us some room to laugh at the absurdity of it all.

But I was waiting for Frank’s vigilanteism to turn on itself, and for him to realize that he was inevitably punishing people who didn’t deserve it, and maybe even turning in to the thing he hates. Such a moment comes in pretty much every vigilante movie (i.e. Super). That doesn’t happen here. Not even when Frank learns the truth about his accomplice- he’s not angry that she’s just a quirky variation on the spoiled, entitled teen, but only that she lied to him. Instead, we get the weakest parts of the movie: long winded lectures on society.

Still, as a scathing critique of contemporary culture, and a lesson in how to draw humor and heart out of a dark subject, God Bless America succeeds by far.

Governor Bill Halsam of Tennessee has signed into effect a new law that will limit how teachers can discuss sex education, outlawing the approval of “gateway sexual activity.” Opponents cite Tenneesee’s troubling statistics, but critics say the law is vague and will only put teens more at risk.

State Rep. Jon Lundberg explained that the law is aimed at high rates of teen pregnancy (seventh highest in the nation) and sexually-transmitted infections in the state (Tennessee has the 11th highest HIV infection rates in the US):

The shift is that the main core needs to be an abstinence-based approach. Not, ‘hey, I know everybody’s having sex, so when you have sex do this, do this, [and] do this.’ That’s not it.

While supporters say “gateway sexual activity” is clearly defined in state law, opponents disagree. A spokesman for the Tennessee Education Association said that the bill’s “very ambiguous language certainly puts teachers in a difficult situation.”

Major forces behind the law are also under fire for accusing Planned Parenthood of teaching anal and oral sex as forms of birth control, which the health care organization says is “utterly false.”

What’s more confounding is how legislators could think this will help the problem. While abstinence may be effective, teaching it as a primary method has generally only produced teens who lack basic understanding of sexuality and sexual health, but have sex anyway. Many studies have firmly established that abstinence-only education is tied to higher teen pregnancy and STI rates.

Forty-six percent of respondents in a new AP/CNBC poll believe Facebook is a fad, and “will fade away as new things come along.” The finding underscored that the country is divided, largely along generational lines, about the prospects of the social network on the eve of its massive IPO.

The survey also showed negative sentiments for a company looking to cash in on targeted ads (using available user data) and e-commerce: only 4% of users said they regularly click on ads, with 73% saying they never or hardly ever do so. And 54% said they would not feel comfortable committing a financial transaction through the site.

Privacy concerns continue to dog Facebook, as about 60% said they would not trust the company with their personal info.

But a different picture is painted when some of the results are broken down by age. A given demographics’ interest is directly related to how active the group is on Facebook:

The youngest respondents (age 35 and under) were most likely to say Facebook would be a good investment (59 percent said yes), followed by baby boomers and Generation X-ers (55 percent and roughly 50 percent, respectively), followed by seniors (only 39 percent).
