About DJ DOUBLE-O:
Michael “Double-0” Aguilar is a DJ/artist/producer/athlete/graphic designer/engineer who’s been able to achieve a level success in all fields. Born in Brooklyn, Double-0 was introduced to music early by his father who was also a DJ and a guitarist/singer in a band during his youth in Belize. He wanted to be a DJ after seeing the 1992 film, Juice. “I don’t know what it was about GQ’s character, but I went from wanting to win science fairs and building robots to being asking for a turntable and mixer for Christmas.” He spent hours in the basement practicing his skills, often having his friends freestyle over his mixes and blends. Outside the basement he was making a name for himself on the track, winning numerous titles in the hurdles and eventually capturing the state title in the indoor 400m. His track career, coupled with his 3.8 GPA, would grant him access into one of the best universities in America, The University of Pennsylvania. While attending college he met fellow classmate Jabari Evans, a rapper now known as Naledge. The two began working together and formed credible hip-hop duo Kidz in the Hall.
