He represents the American Dream. He started with little and made the most out of it. Through strong will and a desire to succeed, he was able to create one the the most iconic labels in music and has set standards that are still being followed today.

The realization of a dream come true. Through Diddy, every man, woman and child can see, smell and touch what a true legend of our time is. Never taking second best and boasting the raw talent and belief in self that we ALL should strive for. Furthermore, hope we become 1% of what this ICON is… A LEGEND!

  • eric a. johnson says:

Sean “Diddy” Combs represent to me every possible talent rolled into one. Acting, music making, comedy, there is nothing he can’t do. He is an example and a role-model to those of us who wish to succeed in whatever we strive for. thank you Mr. Combs.

  • Jason Rogers says:

Sean Combs represents a successful and determined entrepreneur. Willing to do what it takes to get to the top from his talent as a dancer, performer, fashion mogul, and even talent scout. He’s always had that eye for success and perfection… In my eyes, He is the Michael Jordan of hip-hop and living proof that anyone can get to the top if they strive for success.

  • Durell Wilson says:

He is an inspirational success story, entrepreneur, entertainer and really supports his community.

  • Nujeth maloof says:

Not only a business within himself, but an individual who strives when faced with any adversity.

There is much more to a person than their name. Mr. Combs has managed to change his name, re-invent himself multiple times, but still stay true to himself and his determination for success.

I don’t know the man personally, but being in the public eye we’ve seen him grow not only in success but as an individual.

I know I’ve taken steps of my own to become successful but I think Diddy is an individual we can easily choose to model some of our steps by.

  • Myisha R says:

Sean Combs represents a hard working African American man who struggled but achieved what he wanted out of life. He is a good role model for his children as well as other minority children who inspire to become moguls in the entertainment, music or fashion industries. The hard work and positive energy made Mr. Combs achieve more than he probably dreamed.

Mr. Combs showed the world that he has what it takes to become a self-made millionaire and there is nothing in the world that he can not do. I am proud to have a bright, diligent African American man like Mr. Combs in this world. Great job!

  • Della says:

Sean “Diddy” Combs represent an iconic, legendary, self made entrepreneur. Someone who seeked the American dream and conquered it, who’s desire t be succesful made him one of the best, he represents a true and born LEADER!

  • Nakimmera Richards says:

    Mr. Combs…..

The first things that jump out at me are “go getter”, “shot caller”, and a man very much about his business. From his start to his present, he’s been one of, if not THE hardest working man in the industry. His work ethic is impeccable. He’s a force to be reckoned with in music, movies, fashion, fragrance, and Ciroc speaks for itself. The fact that he’s covered all areas of the market, is nothing short of incredible. Not many can match that. I’m very proud that there is such a positive example in Mr. Combs for young black men and entrepreneurs in general to aspire to be like.

What comes to mind when I think of P. Diddy? Well besides breaking the heart of Jenny from the block: Her love don’t cost a thing buddy, now ya know. Having more money in the bank than the average loser (me) = (, and making “No Bitch-Assness” a national campaign, which has my 6 year old niece saying “Well Diddy said it”! Whatever P. Diddy has in store for America next will become gold and if not I’m sure someone else will pay hell for it, just ask one of his assistants. He might not be the most fun boss to work for but this multi-faceted mogul is definitely an engineer for greatness. Born into poverty in the projects of New York, raised by mother and grandmother; enabling him to develop a strong work-ethic to always strive for excellence by being a straight up beast in a suit. Because if you think making someone fetch your cheesecake in the middle of freezing New York weather is a sympathetic, think twice. This educated connoisseur of entrepreneurship envelops his growing empire from fashion to music, movies, reality TV, fragrances; you can even eat like the king at Justin’s restaurant in Atlanta, GA. The list goes on and on but my favorite of his has to be his gift to the alcohol inclined…Ciroc Premium Vodka folks. How I have stories to tell on that one.
However in other news this man, some may say God, is without a doubt leading by example as said in an interview with Oprah, Nov. of 2006. Oprah: What is the purpose of your power? Sean: To inspire others and to show people what is possible. I want my life to be about more than just fame or jewelry or parties. Hip-hop has the power to change the world. I am here to lead by example. So he is continuing to do so, as he told Wolf Blister earlier this year that he plans to open a business school in New York, “that’s known for building leaders” Diddy said. Imagine our future corporate offices filled with black, narcissistic ladies and gents who don’t tolerate any “Bitch-Assness”. Can’t wait! Besides arriving from the slums into flashing lights and maybach rides, while sipping on his Don Perignon resting on plush seats, how does he really feel about everything? This is when things get serious and Sean Combs the man comes to terms with his destiny. When he drifts off into the eyes of his twin daughters D’Lila and Jessie, does he see his own reflection in their shining pupils? How he can’t resist their smiles and joyful laughter, but still feeling the irony of the cold world they will never know. Whenever he comes to terms with whatever life has given him, he will meet up with Sean Combs: A blessed gift sent from the heavens to the doorstep of the earth to let mankind behold a man. Also not only a man but an inspiration to those who will embrace his legacy and take from his hustle into a new era of greatness.

  • Katie L Clark says:

The Grammy Award winning Sean “Diddy” Combs : a self-made African-American mogul…point, blank period. The man who has completed his “Bucket List” by the age 41 from clothing lines, music, acting, movie production companies, restaurants, a premim vodka brand, NAACP awards, Fortune Magazine appearances, carrying Olympic Torches, receiving the Key to City of Chicago “Diddy Day” for charitable work, etc. The man who founded Biggie Smalls, Mary J. Blige, and several other artists. I could continue all day with this man’s accomplishments, but instead of copying and pasting his life story, you can just Google him. The man who can change his name whenever he wants, and nobody asks questions. The man who proclaimed “Keep on pushing the boundaries and reaching for higher heights.” What hasnt this man done? Sean “Diddy” Combs : you have a beautiful family and have represented for those who have come out of the struggle, especially the African-American community. Much love and respect, Mr. Combs.

  • Tamara Palmer says:

Sean Combs represents success. I represents the very thing that the white community said we would never be. He represents the African American community in different genere’s never missing a step. From the way we dance and the way we dress to even the way we drink, Mr Sean Combs represents what we all want in life and that is sucess!

  • Casha says:

In my eyes he represents many things. He represents the devine notion that through FAITH & DETERMINATION you can achieve anything. He is of the most respected men in the business and he carries himself as so. He is the person to me who represents hunger; regardless of how much he has and does he’s always reaching for more. With his focus and drive he has created the perfect vision every dreamer. Sean “Diddy” Combs is THE global beast and represents the MIND OF A DREAMER DETERMINED TO MAKE IT.

  • Tanika Young says:

To me, personally Sean “Diddy” Combs represents the true definition of sucess. He gives many young people hope and shows them that they too can be sucessful if you just work hard at all that you do. He also showed another option that people can take than gangs and violence. Many people should look up to him.

  • Karen Reginella says:

    How to reinvent yourself.

  • Ben Davis says:

what does Sean “Diddy” Combs represent to you??

First – I am not american, but since you ship to Canada I feel like I should be considered for this contest. Sean “Diddy” Combs would approve it because he cares about his customers and customer relations.

Sean “Diddy” Combs represents what every black male in north america strives to be ‘Successful’. As a Nigerian/Trinidadian living in canada, Sean Combs has always been an influence in my life from the age of 8 till now at 26. He started from the bottom like all of us but he was able to find a way to make it to the top and stay at the top for all of his career. He is well repected and very professional when it comes to any business move he makes, be it music, alcohol beverages, clothing or television. Sean “Diddy” Combs is a leader and a proud role model for black males globally.

    Thank you

  • christian franklin says:

To me diddy represents a hard woring human being he came from nothing to more than something. He embodies a true entrepeneur from clothing lines to record labels to fragrances to his own alcoholic drinks. Diddy gives me reason to continues with my dreams because noo matter what happens enough hardwork can give you lots. Thanks diddy for showing us how we all should be if we dream to be on top.

  • Mr. Simmons says:

Sean “Diddy” Combs represents to me someone who achieve their goals. For instance, If you look back where he started at Howard University to present you’ll see he didn’t accept failure then and he doesn’t accept failure now. This is evident with his music, clothing line, colognes and Ciroc. To me it seems once he accomplishes one goal he then focuses on another. I try to set goals as well, I always tell people in order to reach your overall goal you must first have a solid foundation. (It should take the shape of a pyramid) Once your accomplish your initial set of goals work on your next tier level of goals. Sean “Diddy” Combs reflects this in his everyday living, I’m thankful for his positive influence in our community.

  • Destiny says:

hi i am 9years old ever since i have been old enoughn to no about music my father and mother has every C.D. that you have ever made. I know your first album was No Way Out [PA] by Puff Daddy & the Family This album was supposed to be Bad Boy’s celebration. With their stable of artists, lead by the popular and talented Notorious B. I. G., Puff Daddy was going to make some hits, have his fun in the sun as a rapper, and utilize this album to also show off his roster of talents like The Lox, Mase, and Black Rob. And Biggie was all for it. Biggie didn’t mind Puffy’s masquerade because in the end, it was all about the money. He wanted Puff to go get that money if he could, even if it was an untalented rapper playing off of huge beats and leaning on his roster for help. The way it turned out in the end wasn’t exactly how Puffy wanted it to happen, but it was still a very successful album.

I remember seeing ads for the album in Source magazine months before it dropped which was July 22, 1997. The album was scheduled to be titled, Hell Up In Harlem. And then March 9, 1997 happened. It basically changed the landscape of the music industry. Tupac Shakur’s death months earlier shook up the world. But when Biggie died, people were scared out of their minds. Was it receipt? Was the East/West coast thing for real? While I’m not sure about the first question (maybe we’ll find out soon enough?), the second question gets a “yep”. It was for real. The two biggest rappers in the game are killed in cold blooded murder. Just crazy even thinking about it some 8 years later. Puffy’s whole life was going to be different. Though you’d hear rumors that Big and Puff weren’t as close as Puffy would proclaim, Puffy not only lost his number one artist, he also lost someone he’d call his best friend. While much of the album was already done, including a video for his first single, Can’t Nobody Hold Me Down, he’d go back in the booth to record a few tracks like Pain and huge single, I’ll Be Missing You before the record would get released. And the original title was scrapped. Enter, No Way Out.

The album for the most part stays true to it’s original roots. It was created to be a fun album that would “make ya dance”. But it does have a personal tone to it, which is expected. There are a couple spoken interludes where Puffy speaks out to Big. As for the music, the album is sample heavy as was expected with the type of music that Puff was famous for, but Puff did a few things that helped make this album good. First off, he deemed it a Puff Daddy And The Family album which meant that he was not doing this all by himself. Imagine an entire album of just Puff. Not good. But it wasn’t like that. Not only was Biggie showcased on the album, Puff decided to showcase his entire roster of rappers. At least those not named Craig Mack. But I’m not sure if Mack was even on the roster at this point. The first track of actual music starts the album out with a bang. Victory samples the famous Bill Conti instrumental track (titled Alone In The Ring, not that you’d know it from the name) from Rocky and Biggie and to an extent, Puff obliterate the track. Busta Rhymes adds his hysterics to the chorus and what you have is an exceptional opening song and probably my favorite song to work out to.

This is what i know about puff daddy before he became P. Diddy. Tis is out of an article that my mom has in her room along with Biggie, Faith evens, and everyone from the game. This is now 2010 about to be 2011 and I don’t know any other 9year old that can explain it better than me and my family.

    We LOVE YOU P. diddy

  • Corrine Gordon says:

TO ME SEAN “DIDDY” COMBS REPRESENT’S (JABEZ) OUT OF THE BIBLE BECAUSE HE HAS DONE SO MUCH MORE THEN JUST GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY OR DONATE HIS TIME AND MONEY HE HAS DONE THE NUMBER ONE THING BY PUTTING GOD AND HIS MOTHER FIRST HE HAS TAKEN HIS MOTHER’S SORROW AS A SINGLE HARDE WORKING BLACK WOMEN AND TURNED IT INTO A WARM BUT HONORABLE LOVE BUT NOT ONLY AS HER SON BUT AS HER FRIEND AND PROVIDER JUST LIKE JABEZ DID HE WAS HONORABLE TO GOD AND TO HIS MOTHER AND JUST LIKE JABEZ WOULD CALL ON GOD AND ASK FOR MEANING THINGS IN HOPES THAT GOD WOULD BLESS HIM INDEED SO DOES SEAN”DIDDY”COMBS WHAT EVER THIS MAN TOUCH OR PLACES HIS NAME ON IT IS A BLESSING WAITING TO MUltiple.

The birth of Jabez was in an unknown sorrow. His childhood was overshadowed by his mother’s sorrows. His first memories were those of grief and a mother’s tears. Through this sorrow the mother’s heart was touched and made more loving. The influence of a godly mother helped mold this son into a man of honor, faith, and grace.

*JUST LIKE THE WHITE WOMEN AND MEN HAVE OPRAH*
*WE AS BLACK MEN AND WOMEN HAVE SEAN”DIDDY”COMBS*

  • Brian A. Cole says:

Sean “Diddy” Combs to me represents a prime example of what Martin Luther King Jr, Rosa Parks, and Malcolm X died and fought for. We as black people need to be more like this man here. He has succeeded in whatever he put his mind to and then some. He is one of the richest men in the world both inside and outside music whether it’s cologne, vodka, or clothes. he is an inspiration to all black men in the present and in the future.

  • Byron M. says:

Diddy represents what anyone can accomplish if they never give up on their dreams. His dream was to make it in the music industry. He never stopped believing in himself, as well as others. He has always given others words of hope, and opportunity if he could help. He wants to be an Icon. Though he may have just more than achieved that goal. Today, he is well known, and continues to bring new energy, style, and talent to ears, and eyes of everyone. He touches me because he knows how to invest in vast areas of ideas to continue to make income, so that he may never fall. He may be a driving force to push you to the limits if he take you in his court, but he also teaches you the game, and what it takes to survive, and win. Most of all, he teaches you that you have to believe in yourself. You can’t answer this question no better. True and honest words spoken. Think about what Diddy always say. “Bad Boys, in the terms of Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop” All I can say is, he is still going.

  • excel says:

Sean “Diddy” Combs knows how to turn nothing into something and also giving myself and others the strenght to continue to turn our bad situations into a blessing. Thank you Sean “Diddy” Combs!

  • Tomeka Gibson says:

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs represents hardwork and determination. He has a vision and he sees it clear as day. He has his hands in so many projects, from television, film, music, clothing, restaurant, alcohol, etc. There aren’t many people who can change with the times and still be as great as when they entered the game, but he is one of them. I can think of no greater road from rags to riches and I admire him. He can be a bit extra and times, but seriously who can deny his talent. He grinds…24/7…365. The man should be inducted into the Guinness Book of World Records!

  • Norman Millwood says:

A man representing what hope and dreams can be a reality of. Working hard to gain success in every field that he places himself in. I am 19 and i use him as an example of what he has overcome and seen in is lifetime to become a man of substance and stability. He never gives in to what people say or do to try and bring him down but he walks above them for they make him stronger. So when you ask me what Sean Combs represents to me i say Future, future in knowing that if more people see him and believe in what he has come to be we can do great things!

  • Elachia says:

Diddy is a self made boss. I say he is persistent and he not only is good at whatever he does but he has fun and looks good doing it. Diddy truly is a man of ambitions and he always comes out with something different and unique. He shows the youth and young audiences as well as the older ones that something doesnt come from nothing you have to work for what you want and let nothing get in the way of your success…

  • Tom says:

Sean Combs simply represents “The Hustle”. The man has made something from nothing and is a “hustler” in every sense of the word. Sean Combs is self made and a business minded individual, I doubt Diddy discusses anything unless its involving business or his brand. That is a very commendable characteristic Ive noticed in him since I was a boy.

  • stardael says:

I don’t know what anyone else is talking about when it comes to diddy.. yeah we can say dat diddy is an entrepreneur or a black man who overcame adversities or how he perspires power and respect and all the other things we’ve all said about many men and women we all admire, but to me diddy is a sacrificer. A man who did everything he could to reach the stars.. a man with so much talent, vision, and true knowledge that it excelled him to unbelievable heights. He represents what I always have aspired to be and always will want to be.

What does Sean “Diddy” Combs represent to me? Diddy is the Russel of the 00′s… Simples, The black Ralph Lauren and should be an honorary member of the “Rat Pack”. Diddy repersents classic un adulterated swagger. Fierce entrapenuer, world renoun playboy, and Fashion Icon. I’m willing to bet we won’t see anyone duplicate his accomplishments or status in our lifetime.

  • Diddy represents swag and class! I call it swass. He is a fashion icon, entrepreneur as well as a musical genius. You can never be ashy in life and represent this man. You have to strive for the best to receive the best in life. He represents excellence. No matter what life throws you, do your best! He also represents winning. You can never lose and win at the same time. Winning doesn’t mean getting recognized but it means leaving a legacy where you are remembered forever. This is what he represents to me!

He’s a VERY talented man, whether rapping, producing, doing tracks with other famous rappers, or even making a clothing line. He uses his talent WISELY. I’ve listened to his music for a long time, & his tracks always motivated me as a Christian kid growing up. & I’m sure many others will agree with me. I’ve sported his clothes since my teenage years & NEVER was ashamed to say “I’m wearing Sean John/Enyce”. I work at a retail store that sells SJ & Enyce and I have all GOOD things to say about his brand. Once again, Sean Combs is a wonderfull role model for ALL of us no matter the age.
